Zinedine Zidane says James Rodriguez was in Practice Session

Zinedine Zidane denies that James Rodriguez not being there in the practice session today had anything to do with the speculations of his transfer to Manchester United.

It’s been understood that Madrid and United are very close to striking a deal for the Colombia international and he should be on his way to Old Trafford very soon.

But, Zidane refuses to talk about that and says that the only reason why Rodriguez didn’t practice was that he had caused himself a bit of an injury.

Zidane does not think it is the right time to discuss the possibilities of Rodriguez’s or anyone else’s transfer. In his opinion, it’s time to concentrate on the games which are remaining because all the remaining games carry a huge amount of importance for Madrid.

Madrid can be the domestic as well as the European Champions this season, but, to make that happen, they will have to win thrice on the trot from here on and Zidane has urged his boys to pull their socks up for that.

As per Zidane, his team does have the opportunity to make a double, but, right now, they have not secured any of the two trophies. It’s still up for grabs for the other teams as well. So, his team can’t be down on energy at this stage.

Zidane is glad that there are no injury issues for Madrid with such big games on the horizon. Except Rodriguez who, the coach reveals, is nursing his niggle, everyone else practiced including the talisman Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has not been part of the Real squad for a couple of away matches of late, but, Zidane hints that the Portuguese will travel to Celta Vigo and is likely to feature in the starting XI.
